Bruce Lohman has over twenty-five years of experience in global derivatives, structured products, corporate banking, valuation services, litigation support and bankruptcy workout transactions. He has worked with a wide range of corporations, financial institutions, private funds, and special purpose vehicle end users. Prior to his experience at Houlihan, Mr. Lohman worked for ABN Amro for twenty years, from 1988 until June 2008.
Since 2010, Mr. Lohman has been a Senior Managing Director at Houlihan Capital in its Chicago office. In this role, he focuses particularly on the banking, financial institutions, energy and real estate industry segments. Mr. Lohman’s experience at Houlihan includes advising clients on investment banking and transaction decisions, capital raises, and strategic development. His recent projects have involved advising clients regarding transactions in pension risk transfer reinsurance, commercial real estate finance, residential mortgages, distressed credit, auto loan finance, life insurance premium finance, clean energy finance and community banking. He is also active in valuation assignments related to structured products, derivatives, shadow securitization methodologies and the evolving regulatory environment for risk retention requirements.
Mr. Lohman holds a B.A. with Honors from the University of Notre Dame (1988) and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (1991). He has served as a Board Member for the Emerald City Theatre Company and the Gus Lohman Youth Sports and Activities Foundation. He is the owner of Lohman Capital LLC, a private consultancy focused on strategic advisory and governance of financial services entities as well as the development of new institutional relationships.
