Michael Norton is Houlihan Capital’s Director of Business Development responsible for building and maintaining client relationships throughout the Midwest. His strong leadership experience allows him to quickly understand a client’s situation and provide recommendations to achieve their strategic goals.
Prior to joining Houlihan Capital, Mr. Norton was an Associate at Jackson Lewis, P.C. He is a licensed attorney and has represented corporations throughout the country on a variety of matters ranging from corporate governance issues to labor and employment.
Previously, Mr. Norton was a Corps Member with Teach for America’s Miami-Dade Corps. In that role, Mr. Norton was privileged to teach, coach, and mentor the students of Miami Norland Senior High School. Mr. Norton remains involved in education reform as an active volunteer with the Teach for America Alumni Association, the Big Shoulders Fund, and the Noble Street Network of Charter Schools.
Mr. Norton is also engaged in Chicago’s civic and legal communities. He is a member of the Chicago Leadership Alliance. Additionally, he is a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association and also serves as the Chicago Ambassador for the University of Minnesota Law School Alumni Association.
Mr. Norton holds a B.S. in Marketing and International Business from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School.
