William Butrym

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Butrym is the Chief Executive Officer of Houlihan Capital and is responsible for formulating and driving the long-term strategic initiatives of the firm. He utilizes his unique experience in operations, client service and fund advisory to create and maintain a client-oriented culture staffed with highly skilled individuals. Prior to joining Houlihan Capital, Mr. Butrym formed and co-managed a fund of hedge funds in the Asset Based Lending Sector and was responsible for all operational aspects of the portfolio. As a hedge fund advisor, Mr. Butrym focused on creating solutions for clients. He has extensive experience in structuring and managing leverage facilities, financing, due diligence and hedge fund restructuring strategies, including the formation of side pocket/liquidating trusts, redemptive share class offerings, exit financing for portfolios and sales of advisors.

Mr. Butrym started his career at Arthur Andersen. He held various roles of increasing responsibility in his 24 years at the firm, including Managing Partner of Global Strategic Development and Deployment and Managing Partner of Global Operations, Markets and Solutions. In these roles, Mr. Butrym was dedicated to all aspects of strategy development, risk assessment, finance, operations and all related back-office functions. Mr. Butrym holds a BSBA from Creighton University and an MBA also from Creighton University.
